1. Profhilo®

Profhilo® is a type of injectable rejuvenation treatment, and unlike dermal fillers it is not designed to add volume to the skin, or restrict movement in the facial muscles. Instead, this anti-ageing hydration treatment contains high levels of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring compound which helps improve tone, texture and elasticity.

Who is Profhilo® for?

As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally starts to drop, which causes the skin to lose its natural firmness and elasticity. Most people begin to see the effects of hyaluronic acid depletion as they reach their 30s – and Profhilo® is the perfect treatment for anyone looking to counteract this.

Where can Profhilo® be used?

Profhilo® is usually administered into the skin in five key areas (when administered to the face): the tops of cheeks, side of the face, lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds and laughter lines. It can also be used to improve the appearance of the skin around the neck, chest and décolletage.

Your Profhilo® consultation: what to expect

Your Profhilo® consultation will be with a doctor or nurse prescriber who will assess your needs, suitability and determine the most appropriate form of treatment. During your consultation they will be able to answer any questions you may have about your skin concerns and give you personalised advice. If the decision is taken to proceed with the treatment, they will be able to carry out the treatment in-clinic. All of our clinics are monitored by the Care Quality Commission and the equivalent in Scotland (HIS) and Wales (HIW), for your safety and peace of mind.

2. Polynucleotides

What is Polynucleotides treatment?

Polynucleotides are a new concept of regenerative medicine, which promote cell turnover, improve skin elasticity and hydration, heal sun damaged skin, and improve photoaging and acne scarring, giving a more nourished, healthy, and revitalised complexion.

How do Polynucleotide injections work?

Polynucleotides (natural DNA fractions) attract water molecules, which work to improve skin hydration. They also utilise an anti-free radical action, acting as a scavenger of OH hydroxyl radicals which tend to accumulate as a result of stress, cell damage or external agents such as UV rays.

Once filtered and ultra purified, the DNA fractions initiate your bodies natural fibroblast production, resulting in increased collagen and a thicker, healthier epidermis.

What are the benefits of Polynucleotide injections?

  • Skin revitalisation to combat general signs of ageing
  • Acne
  • Scarring
  • Rehydration for dull skin at any age
  • Rosacea
  • Loose and sagging skin
  • Alopecia/hair loss
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Stretch marks
  • Deep lines & wrinkles

We can treat the whole face, neck, décolleté, or the eye area specifically. We can also target other areas of the body which are affected by ageing such as abdomen, arms and knees.

Initial treatment consists of three sessions, two weeks apart, followed by a further treatment around every six months for optimum results.

3. Sculptra

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra® is a type of dermal filler, which is a cosmetic procedure to smooth fine lines and deep wrinkles.

Sculptra is a gel-like substance made of poly-L-lactic acid. A healthcare provider will inject this filler underneath your skin where you want a fuller or smoother appearance. Poly-L-lactic acid is a collagen stimulator that absorbs into your body a few days after treatment to encourage your cells to produce more collagen. Collagen is a protein in your skin — as well as in your connective tissues, bones and cartilage — that provides structure, support and strength.

Where is Sculptra injected?

You might get Sculptra injected into areas of your body where you have lines and wrinkles that you want smoothed out. The most common areas of Sculptra injections include:

  • Buttocks.
  • Hips.

How long does Sculptra last?

Dermal fillers like Sculptra can last more than two years. Sculptra isn’t a permanent solution to deep wrinkles. You may need multiple injections every few years to maintain your results.

Who might choose to get Sculptra?

You might be interested in cosmetic dermal fillers using Sculptra if you want to:

  • Reduce deep wrinkles.
  • Elevate recessed areas of skin.
  • Redefine or soften contours.
  • Treat fat loss (lipoatrophy) caused by HIV.

4. Restylane Skinbooster

Restylane Skinbooster will make you feel great about your skin again with a radiance and smoothness that you will see, feel and love.

After a few treatments, as advised by your practitioner you’ll find that your skin will become smoother, more radiant, and more elastic. The skin of your face, hands, neck and décolletage can be improved and the results can make a world of difference to the way you feel about your skin.

Restylane Skinboosters have been used by aesthetic physicians for over 12 years and over 3.5 million treatments have been performed in that time.

Injections are typically administered over the course of 2-3 treatment sessions, 2–4 weeks apart, to restore your skin’s elasticity and smoothness in a gradual way. Regular maintenance sessions (approximately every 6 months) occur as planned with your practitioner ensuring lasting results.

Clinical studies prove the lasting impact of a Restylane Skinboosters treatment with improvement in skin elasticity of the face and hands for up to 12 months after the initial treatment.
